This list contains printed collections of poetic mele compositions. Poetic compositions–mele–are the basis for Hawaiian vocal performance. The list includes collections of song lyrics sung in “modern” westernized genres, and also collections of mele that are understood to be performed in the “ancient” indigenous styles of oil and hula. Each printed collection is identified by an author-date sigla.
